Astronuts

Mannheim / Germany

Stylistically, ASTRONUTS play melodic punk rock in the style of bands like Good Riddance or No Use for a Name and mix it with pop influences reminiscent of acts like The Menzingers, Ataris or Red City Radio. In particular, it is the broad spectrum of musical influences that make up the band’s very own sound – from fast and melodic hardcore sing-alongs to melancholic down-tempo anthems with a punk touch.

With the arrival of the new guitarist and co-frontman Chris at the beginning of 2021, the quartet finally perfected its characteristic polyphonic vocal arrangements, which combine with crisp guitar harmonies, oppressive bass and powerful drums to form a perfect mix and are guaranteed to stick in your ears! With all four band members deeply rooted in the punk scene since the 1990s, ASTRONUTS’ lyrics clearly identify with the ethos of anti-racism, anti-discrimination and anti-capitalism.

Their songs tell intimate stories of loss and despair in an ever-changing world of injustice and exclusion. Songs that should encourage. Songs for heart and legs.
